What is 2-1 tutoring?

In addition to the many benefits of one-to-one tutoring, having a second specialist tutor adds both to the available knowledge in the tutorial (we each have our own angles, preferences, and specialisms; they complement each other well), and creates a particularly convivial and exploratory learning atmosphere: texts can be analysed, discussed and debated together; essay and writing reviews can be given two informed perspectives, both of which you can draw upon.

You also get to learn simply by listening to our own discussion of the material - literature does not have a single perspective, so why not benefit from both of ours, and have an expert team working for you?

Many of our students have been jointly taught by both of us, and leave each class enlivened, often amused, and full of ideas.
